Hi Yuletide writer! It's been a long, long while since I've joined an exchange, and I'm hyped for it. I am excited to see what you come up with, so as always these requests are just requests. Feel free to go wherever your heart desires with the fic! Thank you so much, lovely author!

Okay firstly, my DNWs are scat, vomit, non-con, infidelity (I don't mind someone being in a relationship when they meet the person they're going to end up with, but they should be broken up with the person before starting any relationshippy things), bloodplay, breathplay, over-the-top angst, unresolved angst/unhappy endings, drug usage, humiliation, unrequested trans headcanons, unrequested polyamory, anything sexual involving characters younger than 17 (which means that any character that is under 17 in canon should be aged up ideally for sexy times), and age gaps larger than 10 years (and the characters should ideally being in a similar life stage). Pretty much everything else is fair game! I mean that! Porn, fluff, something in between, whatever you want to write! I am really easy to please!
I tend to like stories rather than character pieces, but I will never turn down a thoughtful character study! Also AUs are amazing, I love them so hard. I love fantasy AUs, fusions with any of the other fandoms I've requested (or have written in before) if you're feeling ambitious, putting the characters in other professions; pretty much if you think it would be interesting chances are I will think that as well! I love it when authors research lots of little cultural details and get them right because it makes the fic feel so authentic, especially if they're subtle about it. I love drama and comedy in equal parts. I love witty dialogue, and introspection with no dialogue. I love dry humor and bad puns. I love porn. I love fluff. I love them together, I love them apart. If you are inclined toward writing porn, the things I like most are frottage, mutual masturbation, wall sex, comeplay, facials, writing on skin, massage, rimming, phone sex and sexting, awkward first times, silly sex, and dirty talk. I can take or leave anal in my m/m pairings, so don't feel like that's a necessity or anything if you do decide to write porn. Porn is always always always optional though so don't feel like you have to write it at all! Fade-to-black can be just as sexy and fulfilling as an explicitly-written sex scene depending on the story!
Now, on to the fandoms!
Cool Runnings is perhaps the most iconic, quintessential Olympics movie of all time. Who doesn't love rooting for the outsider underdogs, and booing the jerkish East Germans? If you haven't seen it and like cheesy sports flicks with feel-good endings, I definitely recommend it even if you don't write this one for me! Training montages, bullies that learn to respect, sportsmanship, redemption... I love this silly movie.
There are a couple of ways that I would like to see this go. I requested any nominated character, so feel free to write the story that you want to write with any of them. If you need a little inspiration, I can toss a couple of ideas at you!
Derice and his wife have their first baby. Irv has stuck around as their coach and has somehow become something of a father figure to Derice. Maybe Derice names Irv as the kid's godparent. Just some feel-good family fluff.
Junior and Yul get to be great friends by the end of the movie. What happens when they keep sledding? Apparently two of the original Jamaican bobsledders moved to Canada to go on and medal at the sport. What if that was them? What if they moved to Canada to be together romantically? How did the relationship develop? I would love to hear your take on their story!
"Derice, I've known you since Julie Jeffries asked to see your dingaling!" Tell me the story of how Sanka and Derice met and became friends.
Falling Inn Love is a Netflix original movie, a romcom, and a really silly concept. What if a drunk professional woman in San Francisco who just lost her job entered a contest to win an inn in New Zealand and won? What if that inn turns out to be super ramshackle? What if her attempts at DIY just go so poorly that she has to hire a handyman? Oh and by the way that handyman is the first person in town that she met and she made a fool of herself in front of him. It's silly brain candy and I love it.
I requested any nominated character, so I am super open to Gabriela/Jake or Peter/Manaaki. I love the Peter/Manaaki pairing so much. Cute husbands that run a cafe and dispense good advice and coffee and pastries to our protagonist!
For Gabriela/Jake, what happens after the end of the movie? Is their B&B a success?
Gabriela has to go back to the states to wrap up her life there, what happens while she and Jake are apart? What if she has immigration issues? Do they have to deal with a long distance relationship and all the (mis)communication issues that go along with one? (I was in an LDR across an ocean for almost 5 years, it's a subject near and dear to my heart)
For Peter/Manaaki, how did they meet? Did they fall in love immediately, or was it more of a friends to lovers sort of deal? Or maybe they were in university together and ran in different circles but wow there's that guy over there I see sometimes and he's kind of cute. How does Manaaki being Maori affect their relationship? (Please don't take these questions as all needing to be answered by one fic, they're just for inspiration!)
The Cutting Edge is another 90s Olympic movie, this time featuring figure skating. Kate is a hotshot pairs skater, Doug is a hotshot hockey player. Doug is injured in the '88 Olympics badly enough that it's career-ending for him, and Kate is just a huge bitch with a superiority complex. Kate's coach, Anton Pamchenko, brings them together in a last-ditch effort for both of them to win an Olympic medal. Relationship drama and training montages and snark abound. I love it so much.
So Kate/Doug is the endgame of the movie (like that was news to anyone even if you haven't seen the movie haha). What happens after? Does Kate follow through with her plans to retire, or do she and Doug go back to training for the next competition? Did they medal at the '92 Olympics? Maybe go even further into the future, do they make it in the long haul? Does Kate become a coach?
For Anton, what do you think his backstory is? He's currently a pairs coach that dreams up new and dangerous score-breaking moves, but what was he like when he was a skater in Soviet Russia himself? How did he ultimately get out of the USSR and into the US? Why? I kind of like the idea that he fell in love with another skater at a competition and followed them (preference for the taboo gay relationship, but I will also take a feisty lady as well!).
A Knight's Tale. Do you love medieval anachronisms? Yeah, me too. I love an underdog story, and this is the ultimate rags to riches tale. Being elevated from the peasant son of a thatcher to nobility based on awesome jousting skills? Yes please. And Heather Ledger playing William just makes it that much better. I'm pretty fond of almost all the protag's team (Wat gets on my nerves a bit), so while I requested Edward the Black Prince, William, Kate, and Chaucer, I will take a story about any of them tbh.
I ship Edward/William and Chaucer/William, (and if you want to go off-request, Roland/Kate as well). Not really a huge fan of Jocelyn, but if you write her in the background not in a relationship capacity then that is okay by me!
For Edward/William, after Edward knights William, perhaps a feast is thrown in his honor. What happens when the wine is a little too free-flowing? Or at the tournament where William was the only one to joust him seriously, what if Edward found William (or Sir Ulrich at that time) afterwards and... you fill in the blank.
For Chaucer/William, I just want Chaucer's gambling addiction and his smart mouth to get him into more trouble that William has to get him out of. Then Chaucer uses his smart mouth to thank him (no really porn is super optional, I just love banter and flirting).
For Kate, perhaps you can show how she came to be a blacksmith. It was definitely not easy being a female tradesman, and she's feisty and competent and I would love to see her working through the death of her husband and coming to the decision that she can make it on her own no matter what.
and lastly the optional Kate/Roland, I just want to see Roland being fumblingly romantic and Kate learning how to give her heart away again after being a widow for so long.
Chihayafuru! This is a series with two seasons, 25 episodes per season with each episode lasting about 23 minutes each. If you are a fan of sports anime, this might be up your alley though it's not a traditional sport that you'd expect! It's more along the lines of Hikaru no Go in that respect. Chihaya is a girl who through an encounter with a transfer student named Arata in elementary school becomes obsessed with a Japanese card game called Karuta. Karuta is a poetry game using the Hyakunin Isshu, a collection of 100 poems written in the Heian period by different people and collected by a scholar named Fujiwara no Teika. The way the game is played is two players sit across from each other, mix the cards containing the second verse of each poem, and deal 25 to each person. A reader reads the first verse of a poem, and the players try to remove the correct second verse from the playing field before the other player can. The first person to clear their playing field of all 25 cards is the winner. The series is about Chihaya's obsession with Karuta and becoming Queen, the best Karuta player in Japan (and thus the world since Karuta is a very Japanese thing and not widely played outside the country). It is such a charming series, and Chihaya is so earnest and likeable. She drags other players into her newly-formed Karuta club in high school so they can play in team tournaments.
The characters I requested are Chihaya, Suou, and Arata. You definitely don't have to include all three in the story, I just like Chihaya paired with those two boys, so go ahead and mix and match to your desire.
Chihaya/Suou. My favorite thing about Chihaya is the fact that she gets this huge Karuta crush on pretty much every good player she encounters. I want to see Suou Meijin seriously trying to put the moves on her while she's oblivious to the whole thing, thinking that he's talking about Karuta the whole time. Maybe the fact that he's hitting on her can dawn on her as she's reflecting on a game they played together or something, and she can find she doesn't hate it! I just love her being a love idiot and Suou Meijin trying so hard.
Chihaya/Arata. This is one of the pairings of my heart, which is kind of unusual for me since I mostly tend to prefer rarer ships. The scene in the last episode of the second season (if you've seen the anime you know the scene, if not then I won't spoil you in case you decide to watch!), almost killed me with pairing feelings. For this pairing there's so much I'd like to see. The two of them going on their first date that doesn't involve Karuta. Their first kiss. Figuring out how Taichi fits into their relationship since he's very much a part of both their lives. Playing Karuta together as Queen and Meijin. Really, I would be happy to see anything.
Untitled Goose Game is a ridiculously charming video game where you go around as a goose that terrorizes an Australian town and I love it. Stealing things, scaring people, inconveniencing them, being the bad evil goose that you have always wanted to be. I just love it.
Honestly, I don't even have any prompts that I want to see, I just want some goose shenanigans. I requested any character, so if you want to have the goose having more adventures in the same town, go for it! If you want the goose to move to the next town over and terrorize some new folks, great! If you want to do a crossover with any of my requested fandoms, or fandoms I've written in before, fantastic I love it!! Just be that horrible goose, writer. Live your dreams.
Oh wait I do have one prompt. The goose dresses up in the red ribbon to go on a goose-y date with a lady goose and together they honk the town red.
