I'm back! And I had a lot of fun! It was a rather stressful vacation considering it was four adults in a room less than 170 square feet total with FIVE MILLION PIECES OF LUGGAGE THANK YOU VERY MUCH MOTHER AND AUNTIE. Augh. But whoa we made many many friends with the crewmembers. Like half of the cruise staff (I have a crush on the junior assistant cruise director from South Africa. Her name is Beate. She was such a doll ;; ) and a bunch of the waiters and waitresses. The first night we ate in the dining room... no, second night. The formal night. Our waiter came and talked about his recent breakup with his girlfriend with us because he hadn't been able to talk to anybody else about it and randomly trusted us. And then the next night -- and almost every night onward, we had this waiter named Kimbert, and a head waitress named Maria that were so dsafoijaoiwejr awesome and treated us like we were the most important people on the ship. We seriously got a bunch of stuff that nobody else got. Maria would go out of her way to bring us things that weren't being offered on the menu just so we could try them. And on the night we celebrated my birthday (yes a month early shush) she brought us a free bottle of champaigne. LOL and just before we went to dinner I just had a bunch of free champaigne cocktails at the Captain's Circle cocktail party. NO I DIDN'T GET DRUNK LEAVE ME ALONE.

Uhh, OH YEAH one night after one of the shows, I went out to the promenade and there was this little bird that was fluttering around and finally tired itself out and hit the wall and fell to the deck. And I went over and it let me pick it up and cuddle it. I love birds and I really wanted to smuggle it home. But it was wild and a sea bird and blah blah blah it wouldn't have been happy so I eventually tossed it back out when it had rested. It was a storm petrel according to the naturalist onboard.

The rest of the stories are fairly boring. Blah blah Alaska blah blah. When my glass arrives in the mail I'll tell you all about that. For now, have a few pictures I took of some glaciers and iceburgs and mist and mountains and stuff. Ooooh, aaaahhhh.

This is the Sawyer Glacier, in Tracy Arm Fjord. And actually this is my favourite of all the pictures I took. I like how the reflection makes it look like a big X.

Blue iceeeee [ insert lesson here about how the pressure of a glacier compresses the ice and makes it absorb all the light in the spectrum except blue or something ]

This thing is called a hanging glacier. I just think it was pretty with the mist and stuff.

More blue ice! Yay sailing through iceburgs :/

Glacier, iceburgs, random island. *shrug* Pretty.

Last one for now. Just some pretty mountains and mist in Skagway. I took this one while learning how to blow glass. WHICH WAS AWESOME.

OKAY so, what'd I miss while I was gone? Besides Fizzy's birthday. HAPPY BELATED BIRTHDAY FIZZY. ALSO, GAME.

ETA: Holy crap hold on let me resize those. I didn't realize they were so HUGE.

ETA2: Okay done. Should be better now!
